Animal Face

Animal Face was bred by Seed Junky Genetics — one of the most respected breeding houses in California — from Face Off OG (a clone-only OG Kush phenotype famous for extreme piney-gas potency) crossed with Animal Mints (itself a GSC × Animal Cookies × SinMint Cookies cross). The combination of Face Off OG's legendary OG potency and gas terpene expression with Animal Mints' cookie-sweet smoothness and Animal genetics created a strain with exceptional bag appeal, outstanding terpene complexity, and a powerful yet nuanced high — qualities that earned it the top prize at the prestigious 2022 Emerald Cup.

Animal Face produces a powerful, layered high that starts with an immediate cerebral rush — euphoric, almost euphoric racing thoughts and mood elevation — that then settles into a progressively numbing physical and mental relaxation. Seed Junky describes it as 'drifting off into physical and mental bliss' and 'body and mind numbing.' Despite being sativa-dominant, the OG Kush genetics from Face Off OG ensure a significant physical component that makes this strain more evening-friendly than pure sativas.

Animal Face is consistently described as 'rare' and 'hard to find on your average market' — Seed Junky Genetics produced it in limited quantities from clone-only genetics, and its distribution has been primarily through select California dispensaries and trusted Canadian craft growers. When it does appear on TopShelf's catalogue, it represents a genuine opportunity to try an award-winning Seed Junky genetic that many cannabis enthusiasts seek but rarely encounter.
